The 24241838 is a general purpose pre filter element built with micro fiberglass depth media. It removes coarse particles down to 1 micron, including rust flakes, pipe scale, dust, and liquid droplets. This element is intended for compressed air lines where extreme oil vapor removal is not required, but reliable solid contaminant capture is essential.

Unlike activated carbon cartridges, the 24241838 focuses on bulk particulate separation with very low flow resistance. It serves as a standalone filter for non-critical pneumatic systems or as a first-stage pre filter ahead of finer 0.01 micron elements. Typical placements include laser cutting assist air, electronics assembly pneumatics, sandblasting nozzle feed lines, and portable air tools.

The compact dimensions (38 mm diameter × 70 mm height) allow installation in tight machine cabinets or directly at the point of use. Flow capacity is 0.6 Nm³/min, sufficient for single devices or small branch lines.
